Unidentified object inside 9x

Post by blight »

Can anyone identify this part? It was rattling inside my brand new 9x. It looks abit like the top case of a zip tie, it's also the about same size. Is this a foreign object, or is it part of the 9x?

Click here for some different angles

Thanks!

If you throw it away you'll discover later that it really is part of the tx.
Always works for me.

I found where that part goes. It is in the gimbal assembly. It appears to be a cover for the spring tension adjuster. It doesn't seem to have any function other than to cover the hole that it fills. Below are some pictures:

I cant see it on the picture, does it in some way secure the spring from jumping off?

If its not fitting propperly (e.g. falling out easily), i would not put it back.
You could loose your plane/heli if it gets stuck somewhere inside the gimbal.
