FlySky's new FS-T6

Post by Daryoon »

Wonder what chip is used on the inside. And whether er9x can be flashed to it.

Image

Hobby Partz already have it for sale for just under $50, with orders over $50 shipped free like usual.

Have you guys looked at this TX yet? I didn't see it mention when I search the forum.

Still very new.

Maybe someone can organize a donation pool to help the developers buy some testing units? (Or convince flysky to send then one!)

This is what dave1993 had to say about it on RCGroups:

"mine came in saturday. different display. different controls. different menus. different chip. no chance for flashing with er9x.

i do like it though. better than ct6 or 9x. strikes me as best radio yet for most rc hobbyists. most popular protocol. easy to use. smaller and lighter than others. lowest cost. close to perfect if not already there."

Interesting. When I see this I wonder what's more to like about it than a 9x. Only about $20 less than a 9x from HK, but fewer switches, no module so no different RF options,...
Not sure it makes much sense investing time on that one that would likely require work from the developers and modding for flashing from the users when the 9XR is supposed to be out soon, with (from the existing info) a similar layout to the 9x, better RF, and mod-free direct compatibility with the existing 9x firmwares, for $50 too...

dave seems to like a cheap simple controller that noobs can easily understand. I'm not surprised he likes it better.
