LCD backlight with er9x

Post by shaggee »

Hi all. Can someone tell me whats going on with my TR?
I flashed my tgy9x to newest er9x by epee. Everything OK. I decided to connect backlight from hobbyking.com. When i connecting backlight, my transmiter is switching ON, restarting all the time and main processor is very hot. When im turning on the main switch ON/OFF backlight is starting working and my transmitter isn't restarting. Unplugged backlight- everything ok. Plugged= cant switch off my TR.

Here is the video:

More info on your BL addition. Did you modify it with FET switch and connect it to pin 17 of the CPU? If not just plugging in the stock HK BL should not bother the CPU? What BL wiring did you do and how is it connected?
From your video there's a path to your battery. All the BL wiring stock or fet mod never connects to any battery connection before the power switch.
More details of how you wired it will help as well as rereading the BL install posts.

Remove the shrinkwrap from the HK BL's connector and take some pics. Several people already received units with solder residues shorting stuff out.
