Orange r618 xl rx, compatible with a std flysky etc tx module?

Hi all
at a local model show over the weekend, a French guy asked me to pose the question, can an Orange R618XL receiver be bound to a std Turnigy etc TX module, my initial reaction was no it needs a dedicated orange module, am I correct?

You are correct, it won't bind with the flysky module.. Completely different RF chips and protocols..

To use with the Orange rx receiver ie an Orange tx module! but in a 9xr pro transmitter
