RSSI and qx7 using xm plus

Post by DJorD »

Good day all, i hav a new qx7, bought it to make me feel safer whenever i crash my quad and hopefully find it using RSSI. On betaflight i was able to make the RSSI signal visible(enabling RSSI on receiver tab and choosing channel 16) and also see the voltage, amps.. but on qx7, no sensors are discovered( nothing, no rssi, no voltage) i really wish to make this work as i have seen reviews making rssi work on qx7 and xm plus without soldering the rssi pad on the FC )
am i missing something? i realy new to the hobby, i hope someone will help me make this work.
thank you ^_^

The XM/XM+ do not have telemetry.

If you need telemetry you probably want an XSR or XSR-M.

As Kilrah said, XM / XM+ do not have telemetry. Though, they do transmit RSSI on Channel 16 (or on Channel 8, if you install corresponding firmware). The RSSI value has to be processed by the flight controller and then can be shown on the OSD (if you have an FPV system).

There's no way (that I know of) to get the RSSI displayed on the radio when using XM / XM+.
