Noob Confusion with 9X Calibration and trim Display

Post by Crusader »

Hi All,
I'd like to start by saying thanks, for all the mod threads and valuable information that is here on the forums.

I have a FlySky TH9X with a 9Xtreme installed multiple 3 way switches, push buttons and sliders.
I have also just finished putting in two FrSky M-9 Gimbals after having the Taranis ones in there.

So after the Gimbal swap, I had to reverse the Throttle and Aileron channels, no problem in the Hardware menu of the 9Xtreme.
I then Calibrated the Sticks and Pots on the radio. no problems there. turn it off and on again it comes up with the first model
and displays the 4 stick channels as a horizontal bar graphs. With the trims centered on the display the bar graphs are not????

why?? if it has been calibrated why are the channels sending non centered data??

This just does not make sense to me.. some are out by some considerable amount..
any advice on this subject would be appreciated.
I know you Gurus can explain this to me :)

Cheers,
Neil

So, are you saying that you calibrate the sticks and the bars are centered as they should, but if you restart the radio the calibration is lost and they don't center anymore?

Thanks for your reply, No, sorry, more confusion.
no they never centre on the bars after a calibration unless I use the trim switches to make them do so.
I just thought that after calibration they should line up with the centre?
The calibration screen looks centred..

am I doing something wrong or just expecting too much?

What does the 'DiagAna' screen in the radio setup show for the sticks?

Did you create a new model?
If not: What about the 'sub trim' in the limits menu?

Please create a complete new simple model without any additional mixing or settings and check if the problem is there.

Thank you guys, yes a new model and others I have setup are all fine?
I will look at the model setup for the one with the issue.
I should have tried a different model before asking, sorry.
