MULTIPROTOCOL TX MODULE with antenna

Post by bob195558 »

Hi
Have received Multiprotocol TX Module with Antenna from banggood and it is YRFM02_V1.2
and the chip is ATMEL MEGA328P AU1634: (http://www.banggood.com/2_4G-CC2500-A71 ... ds=myorder).

Also received Multi Protocol Module Case for FrSky / FlySky Transmitters: (http://www.banggood.com/Multi-Protocol- ... ds=myorder).

I am having a problem with the Module Case.
It is misaligning the Multiprotocol TX Module board by .035" so that it will not make connection with the 5 module pins in the FrSky / FlySky Transmitter 9x radio module bay.

So I am looking at several options to mod this Multi Protocol Module Case (make proper fit) so that it will have proper alignment to the 9x FrSky / FlySky / Taranis (JR) module bay pins.
I am Not going to try bending the 5 module bay pins over as they are proper fit for several other modules.

Leaning toward, elongating the Multiprotocol TX holes with a small rat-tail-file and cutting slots at each end of the module case so that the Multiprotocol TX board can move over the needed .035" (inches).

I have also place a complaint about this problem to banggood, waiting for a reply from them.

MULTIPROTOCOL TX MODULE with antenna

Those tiny holes in the case are much too small. The pins don't need close support at all. I would just open up the holes as needed or even make a slot to allow the pins to find their way into the socket.

I think it's a drawing he made of where the module holes get positioned. The case has the whole rectangle open.

The screw holes may not be located precisely enough.

Hi,
Yes in the photo above, the black dots are added to represent where the Multiprotocol board's 5 pin sockets are located (misaligned).
When the Multiprotocol board is installed in the banggood 3D-Printed Case, the Multiprotocol board is tightly pressed
to the right side and the 3 screw holes are lineup properly.

I have a spare DJT case and placed the banggood Multiprotocol board into it and it shows the same problem.

It appears the root problem is with the Multiprotocol board positioning the 5 pin sockets to far in from the edge of the board.

The 5 pin sockets appears to be off by .035" on the Multiprotocol board.

I have my 4-in-1 in a DJT case. The centres of pin holes are about 6mm (0.235") from the outside of the case.

Thanks Mike, you may have an older Multiprotocol board ? :?:
I think I have a newer Multiprotocol board (YRFM02_V1.2)
which may have dimension errors in it, causing the problem.
