Processor type

Post by szakacs »

Using avrdude is there a way to query a processor to find out what type it is i.e. M64 M128. ?
I have a TGY 9X and am not sure what type of processor type it has. The writing on the chip is unreadable.

Try "reading" the chip in companion or eepe. Both programs should default to an m64. If that works without error it is an m64. If it doesn't work it is probably an m128. But post the error message here as it will contain the chip id, and someone can look it up for you.

Thank you so much...
I was able to confirm the processor type -- Device signature = 0x1e9602 which I understand is for a ATMEGA64.
Cheers ...
