companion 2.2 no disk error

I'm just getting started with Opentx and a new X7. Companion 2.1x works fine, but neither the beta 2.2 nor the release version get past a "no disk in the drive" error on Windows 7. It looks like an assigned path pointing to hd4 but I have no clue as to how to get there.

Tx on and connected BEFORE starting Companion. Bingo.

Apparently only bingo once... still no love from 2.2 on Win7 64 bit.

Still no love from companion. Looking like programming my Taranis by the buttons is in my future. Deprogramming by Tannerite may follow.
