9XR programming
hi all
Probably posting in the wrong group!
have just flashed my 9xr with the latest software, version V1.743-mike er9x-r820 I seem to have lost the templates button on model set up, where can I find a file version with that included, also not interested in helico templates, I am a boater!
thanks in advance

In version R220, Templates are an option when selecting Mixer in the Model Setup menu.
Note that you apparently have a 9XR Pro and are therefore using ERSky9x. The 9XR uses ER9X.

Re: 9XR programming
Yes, ersky9x for the 'PRO includes the templates. Also, check your 9XR to see if it has a '128 processor. If so, flash er9x-128, and this also includes the templates.

Re: 9XR programming
Perfectly good way to do it.
If you run eepskye though, you should never get an Avrdude report. It should either use the bootloader, or SAM-BA as a last resort.

Re: 9XR programming
Ah ok, now working on the 9xr pro of the president my local club, everythings gone fine with the flashing of the latest software, however a small prob has reared its head, I can't update the bootloader from version 1.3, not a huge prob but the tx just misses the step when holding the outer switches whilst powering up, it just bypasses the step straight to the welcome screen - the fine tune buttons do not work either, board kaput? have tried cleaning pads plugs sockets etc all to no avail, is the board bricked

Re: 9XR programming
Go to the "DIAG SWITCH" display and see if all the trim switches respond.
If you have flashed the latest test version, then there is a way to get to the maintenance mode in the Radio Setup/General menu.

Re: 9XR programming
Mike, Ar9x board, highlighting "Run Maintenance" and pressing MENU Long, takes me directly to the "Update Bootloader/Select file"menu and not to the main maintenance menu.. Short press does nothing.
Thanks

Re: 9XR programming
Having spent time playing last night I have updated bootloader to version, however, currently r212 works, r220 trim switches on the tx don't, but the switches in diagsw.. do!
any point going back a version? if so where would I find it, it howevermust have a templates page! - oooofff les froggies!!

Re: 9XR programming
So, with r220, on the DIAGSWITCH screen, all the trim switches respond OK?
But, you find the trim indicators on the main display don't respond?
Do you have anything in the MIXER? I'm not certain when I added a "feature" where, if a trim is not being used in ANY mixes, or anywhere else, then it no longer affects the trim setting, but the trim switches then become available as extra controls.

Re: 9XR programming
If you have nothing in the mixer, not even the basic 4-channel setup, then the trim switches won't move the trim settings.
If, for example, you put a mix on channel 1 (+100% AIL), then the aileron trim should then respond.

Re: 9XR programming
Check the battery for the real time clock is giving 3 volts.
What, exactly, is the problem with the maintenance mode?
