S6R config wizard in 2.2RC10

Post by athertop »

I have this morning been trying to configure a S6R with the s6r.lua script included on the 2.2V0005 SDCard files. I am running 2.2RC10 on a Taranis+. Page 1/2 allows me to select Delta and Horiz, then page 2/2 allows me to select Enable as first field (S6R Functions), but then all the following fields show --- and it does not allow me to change any of these. Bit stumped! Any ideas?

Then transmission failed in the middle of reading parameters. Make sure you're not too close to the receiver and try again.

I have tried dozens of times with no improvement. Getting solid green light, so no disconnection.

Incidentally, the calibration script works fine.

I'm talking of telemetry packet loss, not RC.
No module in the module bay?

Kilrah, I just tried running through the S6R_Calibrate.lua script, and keep hitting snags running this also. When a calibration takes, it flashes the yellow LED which stays on for a second then goes off, but I have not managed to complete all the calibration steps - when it fails, the yellow LED just stays on indefinitely and the x,y,z values no longer change on the lua screen. Could I possibly have a faulty S6R?

Cheers, Paul

edit - I have just ordered the stk tool to give that a go.

After struggling for a couple hours at this, I found the biggest problem is the transmitter and receiver must be at least 6 foot from each other, period. That's further than an one person's arms can stretch. This is very difficult to do by yourself - an assistant comes in real handy for this. If the transmitter and receiver are closer than that, the signal will be compromised and the calibration or setup lua script will be corrupted and stop working. If this happens, you have to stop the script and start all over again.

I have the same problem
2.2RC10 / Taranis+.
Page 1/2 allows to change the two params
page 2/2 allows to change Enable/disable

all the other fields show ---
and they can not be changed

Going away from the model does not help
Trying again and again doesn't help

RC10 is 3 months old, a lot has changed both in the firmware and the script since. Update before anything else.

Then it works, I've actually used it yesterday. Make sure you do have the durrent script version on the card, reboot everything, and go far away enough.
