Hi, just to report a short Taranis/DM9 Flight test this morning.
Tested with an Ar6100 (supected to be clone) and a genuine Ar6110 inside foamies
All went good, I' m confident with this alternative combo vs OrangeRx module.
Just a remark, and I would like to understand:
With a fresh model (simpy 4ch setup - PPM 1-8 22.5ms 300µ negative) I can't enter in binding mode with the DM9 module.
I tried the same settings in a 9Xr radio, and I get the binding mode (standard procedure with button)
I discover that in Taranis, with open tx r2604, I have to set PPM to Positive pulse to get the binding mode.
I''m curious about your experience and comments about that.
NB: An orangeRx Module doesn't require this positive setting.
Thanks
DM9 Binding mode requires positive PPM pulse ?

Different modules either do or don't work with positive or negative
That's why you have the option to set it.

Slope Soaring, FPV, and pretty much anything 'high tech'
...........if you think it should be in the wiki.. ask me for wiki access, then go add it!

Re: DM9 Binding mode requires positive PPM pulse ?
thanks, I admit this option is here for something, but the same module with the same software in two different transmitters doesn't work the same, it seems odd to me
, and I have to change this settings every time I create a model... this is a little drawback only on Taranis and with this module ? I have read nothing about that, I was lucky to find out how to solve this problem.

Re: DM9 Binding mode requires positive PPM pulse ?
This is neither a drawback nor a requirement that you change anything when creating a model. Polarity shift is model specific. When using any external module you must select the appropriate protocol and other specifics applicable to your hardware configuration. Spektrum/JR has typically always used positive shift polarity as far as my experience is concerned and Futaba negative shift. Set it and forget it, it's not an issue.

Re: DM9 Binding mode requires positive PPM pulse ?
I agree that's not an issue, but default negative pulse seems ok with it in er9x or openTx when used in 9xr or T9 transmitters, that's why I was (and remain) confused.

Positive is positive, and negative is negative whatever your transmistter (I thought... )
Perhaps my post will help someone else if i'm not the only one concerned.
Like I wrote, "All went good" finally.

Re: DM9 Binding mode requires positive PPM pulse ?
Previous reports suggest the DM9 always needed positive shift, also on the 9x.
I think it "half works" with negative.
