Parkzone Archer

Post by G550Ted »

Tried a search without result, so...

Is there a .bmp for the Parkzone Archer? If not, would someone be so kind as to make and post one please.

TIA,

Ted

Try this one:

EFX Racer Model Image for openTX

Let me know if it works properly and if the contrast is right!
Would you recommend the EFX racer? I am going to buy something fast for the next season, maybe this or a Funjet with chinese drivetrain :D

Have fun,
Philipp

Actually I am just playing with the settings for the EFX racer in my Taranis.
Can not tell you yet about experiences, because I just ordered one and it is in backorder at HK :|

Sorry or the delay in reply.
Download the .zip and the .bmp is in there. I included a larger .png in the event you're interested in making a splash screen sometime.

I have been unable to find an F450 or F330 model image. Could someone make one out of this picture or one similar?

Re: Model Artwork for Taranis

Post by BAF23 »

I just joined this forum whilst in the process of switching between Spectrum Dx10t and Taranis plus Tx. With about 25 models to convert I already had my share of frustrations whilst still unfamiliar with the zillion tricks of the open software, and that is what brought me to this forum. My computer skills are still basic and I cannot imagine me (retired woman) being able to ever produce my own model bmp's. As I read this thread I already found (and loaded) quite a bit of useful models, but if somebody could point me out where to find following ones (or produce the bmp's for them), I would be very grateful.
My deteriorating eyesight forces me to put on glasses when looking at the Tx screen, but I still fly without glasses. Seeing the model silhouette on the screen to confirm the selection is a lot easier than taking the glasses out and reading the model name.

The missing (mainstream) models to complete the screens are:
Airliners: DC3 and Boeing 737-700
Jets: F100 Super Sabre and F104 Starfighter
Gliders: Blanik and Twin Astir
Helicopters: Hugues 500, Agusta A109, AH1 Cobra, Bolkow 105

I would be grateful for any help
Good weekend and thanks for all the interesting posts on this Forum, BAF23

The OpenTX project has an official download page with a lot of model icons. You find it here:

I was fully aware of those existing icons and used a lot of those on my transmitter already, but please note that none of my desired model icons show up on your suggested link.
I'm back to square one on this request, anybody else has suggestions?
As already said, I'm not all too proficient on computers, and although yesterday I have been able to replace the "your name" with "Laurence" on the Mud splash image of my Tx companion and save it, I still don't see it appear on my screen upon start-up. After changing the splash image on the settings page, I flashed the latest eepe file together with firmware to my Tx, but even that didn't change the splash screen. Being unable to do that, you can imagine changing pictures into icons is way beyond my capabilities.
