Have a new quadcopter: Tarot Iron Man 650 with the double landing skids, there's also one with a single carbon pipe at eachside, but that's a different version. Would be nice to have that one as a bmp

Hello,
i have a question about the model images.
If the max char of model file name is 10, why then on the BMP folder of taranis SD , most of names contains spaces and still more longs than 10 Chars ?

Because as Scott said he admitted not taking the time to review all of them. Not a big deal really.

As said, I have not reviewed all of them. Originally I tried to keep all the names within the file parameters of the Taranis - but found that some just lacked enough characters to define the specific model. Others - like the one attached today are very easy to keep within the 10 character limit.

Model Artwork for Taranis

Post by bobnj »

I may have missed the requirements for putting one of my own .bmp's in the model folder.

What are the requirements for a model to show in the Taranis transmitter?
Size, etc.
I get that the name can't be more than 1 characters not including the extension.

Thanks

grey scale, 4bit color depth bitmap.

I did not find a way for the photo editing software I had (not much) so I had to get IrfanView. From someone else's post about that app:
IrfanView (Image -> Decrease Color Depth -> 16 colors and tick "make grayscale image").

Here are a few I've done, though I haven't tried loading them onto my radio. I tried to do something a little different with them, hopefully they're legible.

I can't get rid of the first post and just noticed the Bigfoot is too dark under the wing. Lightened up under wing so here's a new one. It would be nice if posts could be edited or deleted...

I also have been unable to edit a post after I have left the openrcforum page and come back. Different thread, nightly builds in my case, but I was unable to deciliter my posts.
