Shorten V8R7-II antennas?

Post by Scram »

I want to use a FrSky V8R7-II Rx in my mouldie glider. It has 150mm overall length antennas which become inconvenient in the limited space of the nose.

Can I shorten them to nearer 50 - 75mm o/a length whilst maintaining the 32mm exposed length at the ends?

Thanks, Jerry

Yes. But you should probably rather leave them as is and let them fly outside freely.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, letting them fly outside is not an option.

If your fuselage is made of carbon fiber, letting them fly outside would be your only option.. :)

Rat Pie!!

I need better spectacles.

I thought I read this forum as "Receivers" not what it is : Reviews.

I don't see a devoted Receivers forum so perhaps Admin can move this to the Taranis forum? Thanks.
