I'm curious if it is possible for the tara is to receive USB input from a computer and output that to the transmitter module to emulate user input. Is this possible and if so has it been done before? I have seen external modules that plug into the trainer port to emulate the transmitter but nothing so far that works over USB. Thanks,

The hardware is capable but no software exists for that.

Do you know if there is any way for the Lua scripts to send or receive data from the radio?Kilrah wrote:The hardware is capable but no software exists for that.

What kind and to where?
They can send things over the air in OpenTX 2.2, see S6R and betaflight configuration scripts.

I mean, is it possible for a script to receive USB data from a connected computer?

No, as said there is no mechanism in place to get any data to/from a computer through USB while operating.
There is a virtual serial port facility but it is only used for debug. Using it to pass data to/from lua is possible but that needs to be coded.
