Avrdude not launching.

eepSKYe is the desktop too for flashing and managing your sky9x firmware.

Avrdude not launching.

Post by edelsailor »

For some reason the Avrdude does not launch (only an empty window appears) when using Eepesky to write new eprom to tx. Could this be caused by latest eePskye update?

This was working before eePskye was updated.

When I attempt to launch Avrdude.exe from within the eepe folder it trys to launch but fails. Possibly because of a missing or corrupt dll.

Windows XP Professional SP3, all updates,
Trend Micro Internet Protection,
eePskye rev421, May 11 2016,
Avrdude version unknown, but created January 27 2012.

Whilst waiting for an answer, I will attempt to find a newer version of Avrdude, and run it 'stand alone', or see if eePskye will launch it.

Thus far I have determined it is not an eePskye issue.
The latest Avrdude (2/17/2016, ver6.3) and it's config file are in the eepe folder. Same problem.
Must be a bad registry, or...

Still working on it...

eepskye is meant for ARM platforms, so does not use avrdude at all.

Might want to actually describe the problem you have (and what radio you're using).

Killah, thanks for your involment (on all levels).
The radio is the Turnigy 9xrPro.
Attempting to write a new eprom (not eepem) to the radio.
I did this once before, when radio came out of the box new (3 months ago).
But now, the current eePskye refuses to do so.

As to your state. In answer, why is avrdude.exe in the eepe folder?

Got it working. The libusb0.sys file was missing from windows, and don't know why.
