Can't "simulate"

Post by Ruaidhri »

HI Folks,

Prob me missing something stupid but I can't get the "simulate" function on eepSKYe working on my 9xr Pro.

Ran eepSKYe
Plugged in tx to USB
Read from models etc no trouble but that's as far as it goes.

Tried the same but running the program after connecting - no difference.

Can someone please tell me (ladybird version please) what I'm not doing

Regards,
Ruaidhri

The simulator runs on the computer to display the actions of a model that has been created in EePSkye or copied from the transmitter or elsewhere. The file resides on the computer and the simulator displays its actions there. There is no sense in which it "works on the 9XR Pro."

Thanks Daedalus66

Yep - I get that, but while the models download from the tx to eepskye fine, the "simulate" doesn't respond to the sticks.

What's particularly irritating is that I had this working fine a few weeks ago!!

Looks like I'm getting senile

Have you updated eepskye since it was working?

Nope - updated everything a few weeks ago and Mike and João kindly got me up and running.
Here -

All worked fine until I tried eepskye this evening.

By way of explanation I should note that a) I am a grandfather, and b) I am Irish LOL

I have that setup and would be happy to try to help but am not clear about exactly what it is you want to do. The closest I can find is the stuff being discussed here.

Thanks. The problem is that while I can connect to the computer, read models to and from eepskye etc., when I try to simulate controls there is no movement on the computer whatsoever. When I frist used eepskye the simulated controls followed the movements on the tx. Now nothing :-(

Wait a second, are you saying that before you moved the sticks on the radio and you could see things move on eepskye?

Yep - unless I've lost the plot completely.
Having said that I could be just muddled - there's a lot of seriously bad stuff going on (healthwise) in the family lately

No, eepskye never did that.. Maybe you tried companion before. It is the editor for openTX. I think companion can do that.
I gotta say, I wouldn't mind if eepskye could do that also :) ;)

Phew!! Thanks João. Could have been Companion (I dabbled with that when I first got the 9xr, and before I started reading up on stuff here)
Looks like I was losing it

You guys really do a super job, thanks again.

Can't "simulate"

Post by Daedalus66 »

That's OK. That's why I asked the question in the first place.

So then I thought maybe I had overlooked some capability of the kind João was working on a while back, but without the complication of BT.

So I'm just relieved not to be losing it myself!

Maybe this is it:
