Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
It's a problem in the migration to Github. I've effectively got TWO sets of source files, one on Googlecode and one on Github. I tested with the Github ones, and fixed this problem, but forgot to change the source files on Googlecode!

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
Mike, Are you just going to place one more version of eepe/eepskye at google code, and this one will look for updates from the new site instead?
Thanks

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
That's what the last update was supposed to do, it's looking for the revision number on www.er9x.com, but not quite correctly.
eepe is correct!
I will put one more revision on googlecode, but I need to get the MAC version built (by someone else) before I do so!

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
I've posted a test version of eepskye (Windows and Linux) here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676&p=65894#p65894.
This should fix the update checking problem.
For Linux, there is a .deb file, for Windows, just copy the .exe file to where you have installed eepe/eepskye.

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
I've also managed to change the file containing the revision numbers so eepskye does check for updates and doesn't find any.
What I will probably do is to match up ersky9x and eepskye revisions, so they end up as the same number.

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
Revision 420 is now on googlecode. This fixes the update problem, but you have to download it manually if you are running 418, due to the update bug!

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
Mike, just loaded the new Linux version on my laptop and have two issues. The first relates to screen size, it is too large for my laptop screen I will not be able to try on my desktop until late next week as I am away until then. The second issue is that if I try the wizard the program crashes.

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
What is the screen resolution of your laptop, and how much too big (width/height) is the window?
I'll have to look into why the wizard crashes.

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
I still have that problem with my ltle laptop. It is a bit better with the latest changes you did, but still not perfect. The botton of the simulator for example doesn't fit..

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
Resolution is 1366 x 768. Width is fine as I am able to resize the window. I am unable to see either the top or bottom of the screen (see attached image), so once I open any model to make changes I am unable to select simulate.MikeB wrote:What is the screen resolution of your laptop, and how much too big (width/height) is the window?

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
I've managed to shave 20-30 pixels off vertically, I'll post a test version in the next day or so. I think the Linux version ends up a bit taller than the Windows version.

Mike, I know you are busy but have you had a chance to look at why the model wizard crashes in the Linux version.

No, I'd forgotton that one! It's now on my "todo" list. I'll see if I can have a look in the next couple of days.

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
I just ran a quick test. If I compile in "release" mode, it crashes, if I compile in "debug" mode it works. So I can't use the debugger to locate the problem. This will make it a bit more difficult to find!

Re: eepskye-Unable to check for updates error
Thanks Mike, I wouldn't call it a high priority for myself I can still set up models the old way. Longer term it would be nice to have it fixed.
