Now that FrSky has discontinued the GPS-01, I am looking for a way to build my own. I would like to use my D series receivers with the FSH-01 sensor hub, and GPS.
I cannot understand why FrSky would continue to make the FSH-01, but discontinue the GPS-01. This makes no sense to me, but I digress...
Can anyone help me out? Do I even need OpenXSensor if I plan to use the FSH-01? Or can I just wire something like this:
https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13670
or this:

into the FSH-01?
Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Re: FrSky GPS-01 Replacement
You can plug any GPS receiver into the hub as long as it puts out the correct baudrate, don't remember which it is.
There's actually a simple mod that allows you to connect the newer smart port version: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/attachme ... id=6362091
