arduino Pro mini from ebay

Post by jhsa »

Hey guys, I was sent a link to a very cheap arduino on ebay by a good friend of mine and also a forum member. ordered a few because as I said, they are really cheap.
When they arrived I verified that they have 8 analog ports. the original only has 6. If they work I think that is great..
The only negative thing is that the ftdi pins seem to be mirrored. we just have to be careful to connect the ftdi upside down on this board ;)

I am building another openXsensor at the moment, with pack voltage and an Allegro ACS758 - 50U current sensor. will let you know how it goes.. More trial and error to find the right offset and range for this sensor. The 100U needed some completely different values from the datasheet to display the right current :(
Will see.. :)

EDIT: Note the 4 connections on the left hand side..

V - VCC

G - GND

A6 - Analog Pin 6

A7 - Analog Pin 7

I have the same Arduino board (from a different seller) that is going into a special 9x project. The build quality is fine and it's nice that the A6/A7 pads were extended to the board's edge. As you noted, they are cheap to buy (less than I would pay for the raw components).

Definitely..

And it's not only the A6 and A7. They also extended another VCC and GND..
