Horus X12S accessory sticks (2-way and pot)

Post by rcyoda »

I have X12S since some time and just recently I have purchased upgrade sticks from FrSky. One stick with a pot and one with 2-way switch. Additionally both sticks comes with a momentary button. From each stick I have two pairs of wires coming out. Each stick is delivered with two plugs for crimping: 2-wire and 3-wire. So far so good.

Unfortunately I cannot find out where to connect the wires on Horus main board. On X9E there is plenty of free sockets to connect accessory switches and pots, but not in Horus. However near gimbals there are four sockets available :

K1 / K3: 3-wire sockets, where by default sliders are connected
P32 / P20: 2-wire sockets, not used (not connected) in default configuration

As I'm usually not using sliders I can disconnect them and connect 2-way switch and pot from sticks instead. Let's say it is fine, even if I would prefer not to disconnect the sliders.

Does anybody know if I can safely use 2-wire sockets marked as P32 and P20 to connect buttons from sticks? Will it be then visible in OpenTX?

You have to use one of the slider positions for the pot.
The extra switch inputs aren't supported in current OpenTX versions.

Thanks Kilrah for your prompt answer.

Do you know if in the future sockets P20/ P32 will be supported?
