Hi,
Happy new yet.
Ok, your the first for the new year reversing your battery but not the last. This may be the number one post on the forum.
Fortunately all those before you prompted a wiki topic on repairing your board as the first option before finding a new one.
Some questions first.

Most important one is " where do you live"? Youse have help to fix it from local member!

How are you at soldering and owning and using a ohm/volt meter?

Do you know someone close to you that can solder and take measurements if you can't? A club member, family member, or close friend?

The usual parts damaged cost $10 or less but do require board cleanup and simple part replacement, as long as no new damage is done in the process.
Get through this and your ready for more board modifications to enjoy.
