A tool to generate voice files using various TTS providers

erskyTx runs on many radios and upgrade boards
ersky9x was a port of er9x for use on the sky9x board.

I have added a dB scale, similar to that of Adobe Audition;

I downloaded this application today and loaded the included psv file. Changed and added some model name files. I used Amy with GB English. Ran the application and it took around 4 min to create all the voice files.

Very nice! Great work on making this application so easy to use.

Now I just need to learn how to install the voice files onto the tx and assign them the correct numbers :)

Numbers? What firmware do you use? What radio?
Ersky9x doesn't use numbers anymore. It uses names.
Or do you use er9x? In that case you can change the file name to the corresponding number in the program, and then generate the files.

9xr Pro with firmware 218.

In the Model Setup - General - Voice it has a number (260 is the default).

So how do I access the name of the file ( model_1 ) for example? (Sorry still new to the 9xr Pro. )

Edit: found it! Long Press menu! Sorry :)

Yep, that option is not easy to find. I have already reported that a while ago and even suggested a change ;)

Hi João,

I haven't found a way to stop it doing that yet. I may have to change to a different installer.

In the interim, you can manually copy your settings file over from the previous version (which shouldn't be deleted) at:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\[email protected]\TTSAutomate.exe_Url_<some GUID>\2.8.2.0\user.config

Is there any benefit using the installer instead of the portable version?

You get the psv filetype associated with the tool, so double clicking on a psv file will open it in TTSAutomate.

It's also simpler for some people who struggle with zip files etc.

Fortunately I didn't have to build my own computer
but built (pre-proportional era) remote control stuff like Grundig/Graupner Variophon with my father ...

But back to topic ... :)

I think we are going hack to the past with technology from the present. We are now building our RF modules, our receivers, our sensors, and our radios :) ;)

Your latest version "TTSAutomate.2.8.2.5" is not saving the settings.
I always have to select the folder, the voice, and it doesn't open the last phrase even if it is set to do it..

Thanks

Question, I just thought of something..

Could all voice settings be saved together with the Phrase file? That means the voice, speed, and how loud it is.
Maybe the output folder could also be saved with it? I think everybody keep the phrase file in the same output folder as the files??

Thanks

Thanks João, I'll look into the issues.

Good suggestion for saving the settings! I'll investigate how that might work.

Hi João,

I can't reproduce this issue. I have downloaded the installer from github, onto a test PC and everything works as expected.

I'm currently trialling a different installer, in the hope that I can preserve settings between versions.

I downloaded and installed the zip file because I wanted to keep my settings.

Did you extract the zip file over the top of the contents of the installed version?

The installed version stores your settings in a location determined by Windows. The portable version stores the settings in a .settings file colocated with the installed files.

I'm not sure what happens if you mix the two :o

Unfortunately, that will not work, as the executable will look in the installation directory for the settings file, and if it cannot find one it should create a blank one.

Yes, it will look in the correct location for the settings.

You can manually preserve the settings by backing up the settings file at the following location:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\[email protected]\TTSAutomate.exe_Url_<some GUID>\<version>\user.config
