Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
I meant switches. but as you mentioned the encoder....
For the switches we still have some free pins? at least one or two switches? as mentioned before, a kind of trainer switch on the other side of the radio would be nice.. audiowise of course
@Clivew. looool, you know me.. Fortugues fillock.. MUUaahhhaahaahaaaa.. that was good..
Glad I know the British humor very well..

On a more serious note João, I flew my new foam Spitfire today, 1.4m jobby, and your handywork with the voice files was really appreciated, instantly told me when I'd flipped the wrong switch (was fighting over sensitive elevator)
Only problem was, it didn't stop me hitting a cow on landing. Can you sort this flaw for me?
It really needs looking into

I'm in no hurry. Just wrapping your head around the code for this board was a major thing. Slowly but surely we are seeing a lot from this board and knowing it's potential is exciting. Playing audio files is huge leap.

Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
I think I have found a minor bug in R97. I was running a calibration on my Tx and noticed that P1 was acting like the Rotary Encoder but was skipping four menu levels at a time. Could someone verify this, or is it a problem with my Tx.

Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
If you have POT Scroll on, then all three pots are functional, P1 for left/right, P2 for up/down and P3 for value change. I just tried it and they all seem OK, P1 is quite sensitive though.

Mike I think it was user error, I did not press the Menu button to start the calibration first and P1 was the only one that did anything. I did have POT scroll on.

Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
Hey guys! I just installed my sky9x board last night and wow this thing is awesome.
Ok I got Sam-ba installed in Win7. I loaded the correct driver so the port shows up as "AT91 USB" under device manager. I can load .bin files using the procedure in post #2 of this thread.
My problem comes when I try to load firmware via companion9x. I get the error below. I manually loaded the firmware via sam-ba. Unplugged and reinsterted the USB cable into my machine and then opened companion9x. Still get the error. Even if I just try to load the eeprom is fails with a similar error. I even get an error whilst trying to check the firmware compatibility.
Not sure if its relavent but I picked the wrong board type (the one without the 9x at the end) before I got this far but I caught that error and corrected. I have not ever locked after loading firmware via sam-ba either.

Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
I was able to get the FrSky telemetry by following the instructions in this PDF for the external DJT module;
http://er9x.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/do ... ryMods.pdf
Be careful if trying to do this as those instructions aren't clear that on 2nd pin from the top you need to cut two traces that you can't see on the back of the board. They are behind some black paint. You can find better instructions for that part here;
http://www.rc-cam.com/forum/index.php?/ ... entry26504
I spent an hour cutting the pcb trying to chase a trace that wasn't even on that side, this was my first time cutting a trace.
Actually that entire thread is very helpful and informative;

Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
I've been reading the ersky9x wiki to better guide others and noticed the board illustration showing the telemetry connections calls the module a Flsky not Frsky. It may be time to bring the wiki up to date andante corrections now that the board is on full production. I got an Emil about what to do with the connector with ghe resistor in it? No new pictures with labels showing what's being supplied?
My board is a beta 6mo old and I don't ghinking the're was a wiki on it when I got mine so I never read it.
Sorry if this has been covered and I missed it.

I'm ok with the idea of making wiki changes but having the beta board takes me out of the loop as far as what the production board had evolved to?Regulators, heat sinks, and supplied cables and their intended function have evolved a lot since my board. Mine came with all SMD regulators. No heat sinks, and a bag of connectors and pins. All good because it was a beta board and expected. At that time we tried different heat sink and regulator options as well as moving the audio amp and Haptic circuit to the 5 volt regulator, my current configuration.
What's needed for wiki is for someone with the latest board to post pictures and a layout showing the current heat sink and regulators. Also showing what buss the audio and haptic are using now. 3.3 or 5 volt?
Next would be as I mentioned a picture showing the supplied cables and what their purpose is.
It's not that I don't want to help, it's the fact that everything I have is not current and others are so they would be a better source. Maybe at least a thread started that persons with newer boards and cables can post pictures and what cables and connectors they used for what. Then that could be used to update wiki. The sky order page could help right off showing that as part of the package that comes with a new board and updated features. The order page references wiki for details on the board but it's not current. Sort of a round robin for a nubee?

I'll have lots of time to work on the Wiki , as there are only 5 or so boards remaining for sale.

Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
What I would like to see is a forum set up for the Sky9x hardware specifically. I know there's the ersky9x forum, but that seems to be more for the firmware. I am using Open9x with the sky9x board, so anything I need to discuss seems to have no good home. The Open9x thread has people with different hardware and the ersky9x thread has people posting about the software and hardware, usually being used together. I think it would be good to have a sky9x sub forum with a hardware / mods section, and a software section, all specific to users of the sky9x board.
