Re: Frsky PXX FW
Have you switched power to both modules as well?
I want to do a similar set up, but want to be able to switch off the RF on the module not being used, so I have DSM on the original back module with an antenna, and DHT-U for all other models.
Has anyone done that with 9X and DSM?
Any disadvantage to doing it instead of the telemetry mods to display on the TX screen?

No i did not have switched the powerfor the modules ...only the signal is switched...
Re: DHT-U Module Install
It's on another radio (Graupner MX16, with the original integrated 35MHz RF part and an FrSky DIY telemetry module), but I've wired PPM to both modules and switched power instead of switching PPM. Worked fine, as long as there was a resistor in the PPM line to prevent the unpowered module to drag the PPM signal to zero.
Switching power done via software too, the radio would ask [Transmit (yes/no)] at power up, no = FrSky powered up, 35MHz powered down, yes = opposite - pretty clean
