Smart Port protocol
Re: Smart Port protocol
S.bus is easy and well known. Smart Port on the other hand nobody knows unless you sign an NDA (and I'm not even sure it's available then right now?).

Re: Smart Port protocol
I just put a 'scope on the SBUS output of the X8R. I can confirm it looks like serial data at 100,000 baud, inverted so a start bit is a logic high. Signal amplitude is 3.3V.
The data frame takes around 3mS to transmit, and is sent every 9mS.

Re: Smart Port protocol
this thread is about smart port (s.port) not sbus (servo bus).

Read this on the frsky-com forum:
So maybe there is some hope the protocols will be published.by FlyingAllen » 2013-09-26 6:02
The SMART Port is separate protocol, which is different with SENSOR HUB telemetry protocol. we will open a general developing section soon, the protocol and relative files will public in it. The register member can see it when enabled the access. This section is under construction, thanks for your patience and supporting.
Re: Smart Port protocol
Where can I get the protocol documentation? I hope it is available now since it is 2018!
Re: Smart Port protocol
There is no public document but there is a dozen of open source projects that implement it that you can use to document yourself.
