D8R-II Plus Internal Voltage and 9XR Pro

Post by Daedalus66 »

That’s a solution if you want to measure individual cell voltages. If you just want the total voltage of the battery it’s extremely simple and cheap to implement:

Or make your own with a pair of resistors .

The FLVSS is for the "X" series receivers using the SPort, it won't work with the D8R-II.
Did you miss my post (the one before you asked for elaboration), where I linked to what is needed?

The FBVS is available here: https://www.robotbirds.co.uk/default/fr ... ensor.html, no resistors then needed.
You can get resistors from Maplin for example.

Got the battery voltage sensor through post today,

Do I have to de solder the battery wire and Re-solder onto the 0v - 13.2v terminal the model uses 3s battery?

Would it work correctly without soldering or is this bad?

You may use it as is. The divider is 6:1, so set the A1 (or A2) ratio to 19.8V.

Thanks Mike, I take it the red and black on battery side would just get soldered on to the XT60 connector ?

If I put ratio 6.1 then I get 3.7v displayed surely it should show around 11.73v which is what the voltage is

I said set it to 19.8, not 6.1.
