Hubsan X4 FPV questions.

Post by th9xer »

Hi Guys,

Two questions:

1) Has anyone bought one of these "DIY Landing Skid for H107 HUBSAN X4 FPV Micro Quadcopter"
x4_fpv_addon.jpg
Just after general comments on it. Does it work ? Good, Bad, indifferent ? Nothing to detailed.

Links to the item via the usual suspects:

2) Has anyone discovered a receiver module that works with the 5.8Ghz Hubsan video transmitter used in their various models. I am guessing the above hardware is going to need a receiver and I don't want to buy a Hubsan FPV tx to butcher for a 10 dollar receiver module.

That's it !

Found this:

A "universal" 5.8Ghz receiver. I have asked if it works with Hubsan, we shall see.

Have you looked at this yet? http://www.banggood.com/Hubsan-X4-H107C ... 75824.html

It would a a good one to hack and becomes FPV capable via a vTx. ;)

How is the boards for T9X /hubsan coming along?

Yes I did see the H107C, in fact I have one on order. They are due "soon" in the UK. I will see how hackable they are once I get a look at it.

I got a response from csgshop, he says it will work with Hubsan products. Short reply but seemed very confident. Only thing puts me off this guy is there is absolutely no contact details on his website, you can't even tell what country he is in ! Also a few bad reports kicking about on the web, (but isn't there always).

Also thinking about one of these http://fpvhobby.com/95-8ghz-mini-combset.html or these http://fpvhobby.com/96-8ghz-micro-combo-set.html

Ahh the boards ! I have just had little to no time to get on with it, sorry I'm a slacker I know ! That said I am about to order the next batch, hopefully nothing wrong with this lot !

I don't think the 200mW would work well with x4, too much current draw reducing fly time. 10mW would be enough for little thing like X4.
I wonder which frequency bands those are? fatshark compatible or boscam compatible?

I saw the other thread about your list of ordering the board. my name is missing from it. I will add in that thread. ;)

Yer I did notice the current consumption of the larger Tx, I was considering using a separate battery for it, 100mAh, last a couple of flights. I was also playing with the idea of using it in a larger quad I have. All just ideas at the mo.

Your name will be added to the PCB list.
