Try setting the processor to m128. You might have one of the new 9x radios that ship with the Atmega128 instead of the Atmega64..
Then flash the er9x firmware for the m128.

yeah, do it and then right after go to eepe/Burn menu, and click on "review output" Copy all text and post it here..

After you flash your radio for the first time it is normal that the radio format the eeprom. But it should say it in the middle of the screen and also something like "press any key to format the eeprom" I haven't seen it for a long time now ;)

Well, something happened.. The fact that your programmer can't be slowed down also doesn't help. The programmer would need a firmware update..

Was this with windows now? If so, please try again with MAC and post the output here again..

NEVER, EVER, EVER, use the -F command, I'm sure you might have read this somewhere.. ;) I was going to ask that after.. You're lucky if you didn't brick your radio :(
I bet the radio doesn't even turn ON now, correct?

Well, it doesn't seem to be bricked, but please just forget -F exists.. Do you have any other programmer?
Something else happened there because before it was reading the chip signature correctly, I think..
Can you please post a good picture from your programmer? both sides please.. Good resolution pictures if possible.. We need to see the small components..

I'm surprised.. But those chips sometimes seem to have a mind of their own.. :)
Maybe it could have been some bad connection, probably on the SCK wire..
But great it is working. Good luck and enjoy the firmware. If you have questions, please ask. Someone will try to answer them.. ;) :)
