Hey guys...
I had some Problems with the original FW.
On the main Screen, everytime I use the Aileron trim Buttons, I get an eeprom error and the TX shut down...
Then I flashed the Er9x and I'm very happy... But today, same Problem: I click the trim Buttons for aileron and then the TX is blinking and beeping very crazy...
The only Hardware things I've done was: Backlight, Trainer port Mod, Switch for turning on the BL and a Switch for turning on the beeper...
Well, with the new Firmware the Problem is still there... can't believe it!
Greetings
KILO

Re: Eeprom issue while trim
Just the aileron trim buttons, and BOTH of them? The rudder trim works correctly?

Hey, many thanks!!!
Oh... it's a known issue I see...
puh.. but when I look at the fix mods I have to think about it twice if it's worth to do it.

Have you seen this post?
If you are familiar with soldering iron and xacto knife then this mod should be no big problem.
And it's worth the effort 'cause a reboot during flight is NOT a 'must have'!

Eeprom issue while trim
Can the problem occur in a 9x fitted with an upgrade board such as 9Xtreme or AR9x?

Re: Eeprom issue while trim
The trims all go to the 9Xtreme. The original trim inputs are available for switch upgrade purposes. At worst these might cause the original board to reboot, but the 9Xtreme will continue controlling the model while this happens.
The AR9X board, like the original SKY board operates at 3.3V, and the analog ground does NOT go through an inductor. These mean the trim switches don't cause the same problem.

Re: Eeprom issue while trim
Relocating the analog ground to the digital ground will help.
Soldering out 0.1uF caps on low-resistance switch/trim/button input pins will eliminate the source of the problem.

After removing them, I have never had problem no matter how fast I'm clicking on my 9XR board.
I'm expecting the same for the 9x boards.
