If you look at the sources of the latest commit of er9x you will see some "#ifdef MULIT_PROTOCOL" items!

Hi, is it possible to map model setup -> protocol -> bind to any physical button / switch? Would be nice to skip the menu navigation and have a one button bind (my micro requires binding every battery change which translates to 5 minutes). Thanks

You should be able to use channel 16 for this (feature of the Multiprotocol module). In the protocol menu, set Autobind to "Y". Then set channel 16 to be controlled by a switch.
Running ersky9x on my FrSky QX7, I use this, with the source of channel 16 as switch SH, which is the spring loaded switch, like the TRN switch on the 9X/9XR radio.
