ship mixer (Schiffs Mischer)

Post by Tester »

Hello, I am trying to write for a ship a mixer, but I can not continue. Can you help me?
Two controllers + engines, a rudder.
CH1 100 ELE (engine 1)
CH2 100 ELE THR (engine 2)
+ 100 THR ! THR
CH3 100 AIL (rudder)
I want the engines to help the rudder:
Example:
Rudder to the right = Right motor backwards / Left motor forward
Speed of the motors depending on the position of the ELE

I figured it this way:
if the motors (ELE) are out, I can move the rudder (ALI) without running the engines.
When the motors are running, the rowing motion should affect the speed or direction of rotation of the motors.
Greetings and thanks
Dirk

Try this:
CH01: +100% ELE
+100% CH16
CH02: +100% ELE
-100% CH16 (-100% weight)
CH16: +100% AIL (rudder)
* +100% ELE (MULTIPLY multiplex)

Hello Mike,
Thanks, that's ok. With hard rowing we could get this done also, that a motor runs forward and the other backwards? (as in a tank control)

Hallo Dirk,

unfortunately I don't know if your version of er9x can use scalers as input to mixers.
This would make it possible to sent ch16 to a scaler (see menu for GVARs) that multiplies by two and
then use this scaler in ch1 and ch2 instead of ch16.

If this is not possible (I fear) try to increase weight of ch16 in the following way:

CH01: +100% ELE
+125% CH16
CH02: +100% ELE
-125% CH16 (-125% weight)

CH16: +125% AIL (rudder)
* +125% ELE (MULTIPLY multiplex)

CH16: +100% ELE
+100% ELE
* +100% AIL

will double the effect of CH16 and give you reverse as well.

Sometimes I don't see the forest because of too many trees ... :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Thanks to the flexibility of er9x there often is more than one way to achieve the goal ...

CH16: +100% ELE
+100% ELE
* +100% AIL
Mike, What about allowing the mixer to go well over 125%??
Something like this..

CH16 +175% ELE
* +100% AIL

Only got 8 bits for the weight value, so +/- 125.
