TX does not save settings.

er9x is the best known firmware. It has a superb range of features and is well supported by the community. Well worth trying out.

TX does not save settings.

Post by kmargos »

Hello everyone,

I'm using the M2561, ER9x, r821, Frsky mod.

When a TX setting is saved, the TX flashes and returns to the main display.
The same happens when I create a new airplane model.

When TX does not create a new model airplane, the TX returns to the initial menu showing a voltage of approximately 5v until reaching the battery voltage.

It appears to be eeprom error.

Is this happening only after you tried er9xV2 (mbtx)?
What you are seeing is a watchdog reboot.

Hi Mike ...

I use r821(r820 in radio), ER9x, M2561, I have two radios with the same setup. This one has this problem.

I already tested two microcontrollers (m2561). With the M64 it worked.
FUSES: Baixo=de Alto=d1 Ext=fc, Argument used -B 1000

I've posted a specific test version (prov 822), for you to try please (on the er9x test versions thread). This re-triggers the watchdog more often when creating a new model.

Hello, today I changed the microcontroller to one that I'm sure is working. When I saved a new model, the 47uf capacitor after the 7805L burned (short circuit), also burned regulator 7805L and 6206A.

I changed the capacitor and regulators and TX stopped rebooting.

I understood nothing !!!
Everything working so far normally.

I'm not sure why the components burned, it can be an accident (very difficult).

So I soldered one of the microcontrollers that rebooted on a working board, and then the board that was working is now rebooting while saving the new model.

Conclusion.

I think the 3 microcontrollers I bought on aliexpress, were defective. But it may be that the power supply circuit is a suspect.

Tks !!!
Marco.

To me it looks like there might have been a stray blob of solder that shorted something.. :)

But good that is working.. Well done :)
Parabéns ;)

The watchdog timing does vary from one processor to another. It is possible the CPU(s) that don't work have a watchdog that is running fast, so are causing a reboot when others don't. Have you tried the special test version I posted on the board that is rebooting?

This all exhausted me enough for today ..... I will try later the version prov 822.
I have to replace the components of the other mother board, which ended without them.
Soon I will post the results with the prov822 version.

Tks Mike and João
