Companion, Eepe and .eepe file extension

Post by jhsa »

Due to the fact that companion and eepe/eepskye are now very different, and not compatible anymore, in my opinion, they should save their data using different file extensions.
The way it is currently is a big mess as it gets to the point that we don't know anymore what works and what it doesn't work with each program and If the file is for eepe/eepskye, or for opentx companion. The data is not compatible and we end up trying to open files that don't work because they are supposed to be opened by the other program.
So I believe that as .eepe is obviously the file extension for the program with the same name :) maybe companion should use it's own file extension, right?? I would like to expect that a file that is posted with the file extension .eepe it's to be used with.....Yes you guessed it... EEPE
Maybe even eepe and eepskye should have their own file extensions as well.
This would avoid more confusion and would get this big mess a little bit more organized. Everybody would win. At the moment we have no idea what is what anymore :o
End of rant.. ;)
