Dual FLVSS lowest cell.

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

Dual FLVSS lowest cell.

Post by Oldbuzzard »

Can someone please advise.
I have 2 FLVSS volt sensors monitoring 2 6s lipos wired in parallel.
The telemetry has discovered 2 instances of CELS as expected (1 and 2 but they both have the same ID 0300 ?)
Do I need to detect and set alarms separately for each unit or will setting one to LOW find the lowest cell from either pack?

I know in the old firmware I just had to detect it once.

Thanks

Lowest will give you the lowest of that pack. You can then use an extra "minimum" sensor to find the lowest of both.

Actually Kilrah, been trying all afternoon to set this up. I cant change the second FLVSS to read cell. The option cell sensor remains --- and I cant change it.
I mean whichever sensor I change first is ok but I cant change the second one.
and please, what to the square brackets around a value mean?

What are you trying to "change" exactly?
Square brackets means no data has been received for this sensor for more than I believe 10 seconds.

Think I may have sorted it.
After sensor detection I was trying to edit the sensor (FLVSS) to give the lowest cell voltage instead of the total.
It now seems to work if I copy the original sensor and edit that to 'cel' and 'lowest'.
Editing the original seemed to stop the sensor telemetry.

You must create a new Calculated sensor yourself to extract the Lowest cell, same for the Minimum.
Don't touch the discovered ones beyond renaming them for easier recognition.

Yes thats got it. Thanks for rapid replies.
I noticed if I disconnect the battery from the FLVSS balance port the last cell voltage freezes, therefore no warning is generated. Not ideal.
