Can't write firmware to 9XR Pro with Companion under Linux

openTx has introduced a range of new features, ideas and bling. It is fast becoming the firmware of choice for many users. openTx will run on ALL current hardware platforms, including the gruvin9x and sky9x boards. Work has already started to support the new FrSky X9D radio!

Can't write firmware to 9XR Pro with Companion under Linux

Post by mogplus8 »

Hi All,
I am trying to write firmware to my 9XR Pro but I get an error every time. The error is "Error: Unknown arguments: \USBserial\COM23 at91sam3s4-9x /tmp/8615-temp.tcl". When this error is displayed the Write Firmware to Radio dialog box freezes. Mint asks me if I'd like to terminate an unresponsive dialog, and when I click "yes" it terminates Companion. I can read firmware from the radio, and I can read and write models to the radio, I just can't write firmware.
I am using Companion version 2.2.1 (latest version) running under Linux Mint 18.3.
Thanks, Ian
