Radio Menu only has 9 pages instead of 13 (and do Display page)
Radio Menu only has 9 pages instead of 13 (and do Display page)
I updated two of my Taranis X9D Plus radios. One had opentx 2.1.9 and the other had 2.1.6. The one that had 2.1.9 was updated to 2.2.1 with Lua Script and all seemed to be fine. I then tried updating the other radio (that had 2.1.6) to the same but when I got into the radio menu, I found it did not have 13 pages like it should; only 9 pages (I needed to access the 'display' page to activate the Lua Script).
I assumed it had something to do with the fact that the first radio had 2.1.9 on first so I tried flashing the 2nd radio back to 2.1.9. Was not able to as I had an error saying something like 'software not compatible'. So maybe you can't go backwards in FW? I tried flashing 2.2.1 over again exactly as in Joshua Bardwell's video (both Part 1 and part 2) but again, only 9 pages in the radio menu.
I should also mention the same FW file (with the same selection options) were loaded on the two radios. Not sure why the difference in outcomes.
Anyone have any idea what I did wrong or what I can do to fix this?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Radio Menu only has 9 pages instead of 13 (and do Display page)
Did you use the same radio profile in Companion and hence the same firmware file for both radios?
Or
Did each radio have its own radio profile in Companion and hence a different firmware file?

Same radio profile for both radios so same FW file.

Could you post the file?

Could not attach the file to this thread as it kept saying invalid file extension. The file name was opentx-x9d+-noheli-lua-en-2.2.1.bin
I followed Joshua Bardwell's videos exactly:

Have you checked the version on the transmitter to make sure it actually flashed? Long press menu and page forward a couple of pages. Frsky put a bad bootloader on some 2.1.6 systems. If it didn't flash use copy to SD or power off methods.

OK Jim. Both radios show the firmware version as being 2.2.1 so it did seem to flash to 2.2.1 (using the exact same file), just not sure why one radio has 9 radio pages and one has 13 (more options). The same option selections were checked (like I said, exact same file).
Only difference was the one with 9 pages was flashed with bootloader 2.1.6 and the one with 13 radio pages was flashed with bootloader 2.1.7

Strange. Have you updated the bootloader on the one with only 9 pages? If not I would update the bootloader to 2.2.1 and flash the firmware again. If that doesn't work I don't know.

At a guess, are you confusing the radio menu with the model menu? The former has 9 pages the latter 13.

Yeah, so sorry guys. Someone just pointed that out to me on another forum. Wrong menu. Don't know why I kept thinking it was the radio menu. Very sorry guys. My bad.

You may still want to ensure the bootloader is the same on both radios. Horizontal trims in, power on. See bootloader version on that screen.

Yes I did update both bootloaders to 2.2.1. Thanks much guys.
