GiantShark/GiantCod

Post by MikeB »

GiantShark, who bought up GiantCod have now gone out of business. I feel they never really got to grips with it.
However, it seems the "Graham" who worked at 'Cod originally and then moved to 'Shark, has set up by himself:

Worth keeping an eye out.

He is selling the X8R cheaper than the X6R?
The prices don't seem to be that bad. Need to check the postage.
The problem is that I need D series stuff. So my only possibility is China..

But are they not forbidden to be sold in Europe since the beginning of the year?

Just compared to HK.. There's a quite big difference on the price..
2 x D8R-II Plus. Calculated with postage.

T9HobbySport - €79.98
Hobbyking - €47.22

NEARLY THE DOUBLE OF THE PRICE?
Someone has been drinking somewhere. Guess where I will buy.. I'm not swimming in money :)

This is europe, a tax money thirsty machine, thats why you pay so much when compared to the production country, plus some european countries mail service is "stupidly" expensive.
Thats the cost of, not only, but also, the european parliament. :geek:

Bookmarked, prices seem OK for UK prices.
I have mostly used HK for d series rxs too though as they are cheaper, and reliable , trouble is getting them through customs now without incurring vat AND handling fees is less likely since HK wont mark down as gift and or reduce the cost on the parcel,

No... I really liked Giant Shark. Have purchased from them a few times over the years and the latest was my Taranis Gimbals from them in April. £23 shipped to Sweden for a pair which was the best price I found.
