Hello All,
Just curious if anyone has had problems with the Back PCB and the length of the PINS to seat your External Modules.
I have always used internal ones and now I finally went the external route.
I find that I can't seat the module into the Radio.
Can someone measure the bottom of the plastic on the Back Panel the top of the pins exposed to the Module?
I measure a good 12mm from plastic to top of pins.. and about 6mm of PIN exposed.
Thanks for your help.
Pino

Re: Module seating in T9x
It all depends on the module. Only the FlySky/Turnigy module has any problems with long pins -- it has to be disassembled and corrected. The others all allow the pins to pass through the connector and are therefore not critical. In some cases the early 9x transmitters had rather short pins and sometimes needed plastic removed from the module slot to get an adequate contact.
The 9x transmitters generally have pins that are about 12.3mm long. The 9XR and Taranis have pins around 13.5mm.
Newer 9x transmitters have plastic about 6mm high around the base of the pins, leaving about 6mm exposed; this causes a problem with some modules and needs to be removed. The older ones have only 1-2mm of plastic around the base of the pins, so have about 11mm of pin exposed.
Note that sometimes the pins don't align with the module socket and must be bent very slightly. Don't force things!
Hope this helps.

remove the plastic around the pins. I think that prevents the frsky module from being fully inserted in the module bay.. don't force it or you will break it
