Module and antenna question with new Turnigy 9XR

Choosing an RF Module? What modules work? What is compatible with the 9x?

It is more than similar. It is identical. The reason for that is that the Turnigy transmitter module is the same thing as the FlySky module. FlySky produces both. The electronics inside the plastic box are in no way different, even if the color of the boxes and the physical antenna placement differs.
I do not recommend looking for a Turnigy module if you don't get it for free. You will end up modifying the module case to stick the antenna to the back of it and the result will be quite a bit more fragile than the FlySky module. The module only costs 20 $, so the effort is not really worth while.

i bought a 9xr without module as well and i thought i can easily find tg9x module, but im wrong.
is the binding procedure of FS-th9x similar with tg9x?

The binding procedure is completely dependent upon the module you use.

Based on previous posts I'd say not likely.

I haven't had thus trouble, yet...but here's something to try.
Take the back off of the module and inset the module to see if the 9xr pins are long enough to pass through the modules FM contacts.
If they are, remove the module and with a pointed scribe or other object, try and close the FM connectors, make them smaller in diameter, do they grab the male pin tighter.
I do this with many FM connectors, even old servo connectors when they get lose or intermittent.
Also check alignment of the pins in general and if required, maybe slightly move the move/bend the male pins around.
A little rework on your part may solve it.

Have you opened the module and observed the pin mating? May e it's just one pin, maybe it a bad solder connection on the module connector and not the 9xr?
With the module back off and powered up may e with a little probing you could find exactly what's going on?
