Full House F3b/j glider first go

Post by jirvin_4505 »

I want to thank all those that have posted their code samples here.

Just spent the last few days coming to terms with Open9x.

I fly Open Thermal winch launch competition.

I have just pulled a MPX evo16 out of my Europhia 2k (problems with the Evo) and now have my model ready for a Open9x flight with my Turnigy9x :D

Presently I'm up to 298 model size (certainly takes a bite out of the 16 memories ) and 22/32 mixes

Tonight I have the following..
4 flight phases Normal,2 stage Launch,Speed,camber
Variable differential depending on flight phase using function to alter Gvar1
thanks to..
http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2184

Still more to do.. maybe incorporate pots as camber adjusters etc however I tend to like everything very simple on a competition radio and didn't want to get to complicated.

I fly mode 1 and altered the radio by swapping the Trainer switch over to the LHS so that the spring loaded action used as a Launch mode selector.

I had to throw in a curve to fix up some non-uniform motion of my servo install - model has had a hard life and needs a refit :o

Just got to say I'm over the moon with the whole companion9x/open9x developmenmt cycle.

Thanks Heaps
cheers Jeff
ps Welcome any feedback on my eepe file - ways to tighten up my code?

My understanding has developed a little more
Here is initial setup for Xplorer3.8 X tail - a little more tidy as the servo install is better :P
Added is a curve (c1)to match aileron camber adjust to flaps at the limits
Extended trims to adjust camber values
0 to -ve differential on landing (I think this has been done in a clumsy fashion?)
count up timer triggered when leaving winch launch phase (ie approx flight time)

I like (code from file posted in this forum) the grouping of all camber values under channel 10- makes global adjustment easy.
Works a bit like a Mpx control layer.

I need to re edit my E2k file to reflect my developing understanding.

Experimented with ppmca but don't understand it especially how it interacts with centre point adjustment and symlimits?

cheers Jeff
