Hopefully I can get some help here. I have only been using Open TX on my Turnigy 9X for 2 days and am really impressed with all it can do! I have figured out almost everything I need to do except how to use a switch and a knob at the same time!
The project is the FT Cruiser from Flight Test. This is a twin engine plane and if you use thrust differential it can do some really incredible things! I want to turn thrust differential on/off with a switch but when on sensitivity or degree of differential should be adjustable from a knob. I'm pretty sure it can be done just knot by me at this stage of learning!
I have it working on a three position switch using static settings but not the knob! any help or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated!

Re: Thrust differential for FT Cruiser W/switch and knob
Use a pot as the source, and enable the mix using a switch.

Re: Thrust differential for FT Cruiser W/switch and knob
I have an airplane set up like this. The plane I have set up has no rudder, so I use these mixes to get a rudder like effect.
On a virtual channel I put
Then my 2 throttle channels look like this
-Gohst
On a virtual channel I put
Code: Select all
CH9
+100% RUD
*100 P1 Curve(C1) -> Curve C1 goes from 0 to 100 in a straight line
Code: Select all
CH1
+100% THR
+100% CH9 Switch(Rud)
R-100% HALF Switch(Thr)
CH2
+100% THR
-100% CH9 Switch(Rud)
R-100% HALF Switch(Thr)

Thanks a lot I thought I would have to use a virtual channel but wasn't sure how to do it!

I can't get that to work! Their is no "half" in the newest firmware! Is there a different way to do it

On openTx HALF is MAX, er9x changed it to HALF a few months ago.

Re: Thrust differential for FT Cruiser W/switch and knob
I though that might be what it was but there must be other changes that need made. I substituted Max for Half and it still doesn't work!
