Forum Sub Sections - Feedback required

Post by Rob Thomson »

Hi All,

I am in the process of looking into how we can 'clean up' the forum structure.

One area that jumps out is the mixes and programming side of things.

Currently, there are threads that run in the firmware sub sections of the site.

e.g.

FIRMWARE \ ER9X \ MIXES AND PROGRAMMING

My feeling is that what would be more useful is a top level section.

e.g.

MIXES AND PROGRAMMING \ ER9X | TH9 | GRUVIN \ [ thread per question ]

I personally would love to skip the second level folder and go straight to the threads; but do not think this will work as the nature of the forum '9x forums' means that we should by right include all alternative firmwares. As a result I need to assume that we could in time have a scenario of

MIXES AND PROGRAMMING \ ER9X | TH9 | GRUVIN \ [ thread per question ]
MIXES AND PROGRAMMING \ RADIOCLONE \ [ thread per question ]
etc

Not ideal.. but probably the only option!

Anyone have any other ideas?

...........if you think it should be in the wiki.. ask me for wiki access, then go add it!

keep up that clean up idea, because it is already starting to get out of hand. I started to contribute to the mess, then I caught myself. I don't know how to move what I posted.

(question of basic mods, and I replied with an example first instead of first saying "that goes in the mod section")
no more quippy little latin phrases.! Its old

I think that with all of the possibilities (and future possibilities) there should be sub catagories, ie: specific sections for different versions. As many levels as necessary.
