That would be me...

As I port each page across I am putting a link to it to take them to the new one.

I see your point for the potential for confusion.. however I will have all the copy across within the next day or so; so should not be a big issue :D

You're forcing me to skip dinner tonight to finish the dsm mod page :D

Just didn't want too many people to get lost... It's overwhelming in the beggining with the wealth of info.

It is coming together nicely too!

:)

There is loads of content...

But so much better getting it all into one place!

Don't worry if it is not yet complete. Just do a big red banner at the top saying work in progress!

Code: Select all

<span style="color:red">WORK IN PROGRESS - COME BACK SOON</span>
I am gradually pulling the content out of all the other PDF's...

Here is a silly question... how do you get rid of the --------- around blocks of text????

:?:

I typed some content, and when I go to read it... there are -------------------- around different blocks of text, some text running outside these borders.. why.. help.. whaaaaaa... k, I'm overit. but seriously... it's annoying... what am I doing incorrectly to cause the wiki page to dislike me so?

oh wait..

I think I figured it out...

if you put a space or two on the beginning of a paragraph it blocks the text until the end of the paragraph

if you start it right from the left edge, it won't

wooo

At the moment there is no real planned structure.

General consensus of wiki systems is that they work best when you don't plan it too much!

So just logon, dig in, and have a play!

I have started this guide

http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/Flashing_your_9x

Could do with someone tackling the 'how to actually flash it bit?

Rob
I'm on it ... Cheers

Rob, can you make the link to the Wiki a bit more obvious (bold? larger text? or something). I doesn't really stand out, particularly for newcomers who are the most lickly to need it. Just a thought!

There's a link to the wiki?!?!?

:D

I think that adding a "wiki" link at the top next to the "view unread posts" might be a good thing.

Also, moving the "9x Guide" link to the top box (9x news and information) is probably good too.

HK Backlight mod

Post by Rob Thomson »

Hi all,

Just been looking at this page on the wiki

http://openrcforums.com/wiki/index.php/ ... ght_Driver

I think the mod for how to wire up the turnigy backlight needs a little work.

Anyone who as done mod fancy having a bash?

Problems to update Wiki

I tried several times to replace one picture in the NMEA guide
I uploaded it several times, but I always get the old picture shown

Can you replace the file for me?

The wrong color code of the two 220 Ohm resistors is red red red = 2.2KOhm
altered the colors to red red brown = 220 Ohm.

Could be in your cache, and its showing the old one instead of the new one.
Instead of replacing load it new with a new file name, instead of replacing the old one.

:)

Just a note, I see the above picture you posted. The new one. :D

Took me a while to understand what you stated.
But now I got it. And you are probably right.
It often happens that see the old page when I return to a page that should have been updatet.
And today, the NMEA guide shows the correct picture.
The irritating thing was, I altered the text and saw the modified text. But I alway saw the old picture.

Thanks,

Reinhard
