DIY mega2560 radio with rotary encoder option?

I set up a mega2560 radio and used companion 2.1.9 or 2.2.0. for flashing. Everything I tested seems to work with the exception of rotary encoders. I could not find any option in the settings of companion to include rotary encoders for menu navigation. Is there any possibility to include this in the setting as it is for other radios, for example for 9X with stock board?

So far I did not find any workaround to activate rotencs and therefore ordered 5-way tactile switches for navigation instead. However, any ideas how to activate rotencs are still welcome.

Could you switch to erSky9x? I think that it supports a rotary encoder. I don't use companion anymore so I do not know if it supports it or not.

I'm not sure if Ersky9x will run on the m2560. It does run on the m2561.

Thank you for your comments. Finally I fixed it. Rotary encoders need not to be enabled in settings of companion, they are always enabled for mega2560 radio. I had a hardware issue and after enabling rot encoders for navigation in the radio menu everything works now.
