Most user friendly FW for novices with best English docs?
Most user friendly FW for novices with best English docs?
What replacement firmware is most user friendly to novice fixed wing pilots and has the best English language documentation? Hopefully, those aren't two different firmwares.

I am not sure you would go wrong with either firmware.
Er9x or open9x.
The wiki has docs for both of them, in english.

Slope Soaring, FPV, and pretty much anything 'high tech'
...........if you think it should be in the wiki.. ask me for wiki access, then go add it!

Download eepe and/or companion9x and play with them. Start with the canned templates and modify them to learn how to alter the basic functions. Then study the various templates in the template library to see how to program some of the more advanced features.
You'll be surprised how quickly you get the hang of it.
