Connector to the AVR sparkfun thingee

Post by Hasse.69 »

I´m using a ps-2 mouse cable.
And a mini din connector like this:http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Mini-DIN-Conn ... 1e5d4066d2

I put it where the charger inlet were , it fits good , just need some dremeling for the male connector to fit.
It looks like this:
PS-2 Connector.JPG
And like this:
SparkFun Pocket AVR Programmer to Ps-2.JPG
Look in the section on google code regarding wiring , here:http://er9x.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/do ... hookup.pdf

Enjoy , Hasse.

I mounted my programmer right inside the radio. After cutting off the antenna plug, the programmer fit perfectly, almost like it was designed to fit. The USB connection sticks out the top, and a cover from a USB memory stick finishes it off and protects it when not in use. It sure beats having to remove the battery cover to access a programming connection. To connect the radio to the computer, I just use a short USB extension that can be bought at a dollar store, for about a dollar :)
