Nothing plug and play at this point, but there is something in the making:
http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic ... 869#p40869

It could be self-built with an arduino. I actually need to make one, haven't taken the time yet...

Without electronic mod, you can use a Hisky HT8 module to fly it with your tx. I think the Hubsan X4 and HK Q-bot and Hisky f120 are the same thing. beside the HK FBL100 and WL Toys V922 also uses the same transmission protocol. the Q-bot comes with the HT8 so that is what I bought (still over the pacific ocean). http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... duct=29595

here is a HT8 you can get from BG: http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-New-H ... 65107.html

Hmmh I'd be cautious saying that, the X4 looks nothing like that Q-bot whether we're talking of the board or the frame, the only similarity looking from here is the battery. The X4 has no X frame, it's a plastic shell. It's smaller too.

I certainly was talking about the tx protocol. ;), but yes, if some on else could verify this would be great. I did a real fast search when I was ordering these and came out with the conclusion. Wish I had saved the search result when I get those info. I could get the hubsan comfused with the Hisky ff120 protocol. I just sent a email to a friend to verify if he can bind his x4 to his FBL100. if that goes, then the above would be pretty much correct. I will also confirm the v922 can bind with q-bot's module (a HT8 rebranded, supposedly), in about 10 days when I receive them.

Well, I need to retract my previous post about HT8 may work with X4. Looks like it does not. oops, short term memory lapse again. I think I mixed up the X4 with Hisky FF120.
We just have to see how Th9xer works every thing out here as Kilrah's link above.

But as a punish to myself, decide to get a X4. ;) already ordered the A7105 any way. ;)

Could you explain (detailed if possible) how did yo do that?
What needed to buy and where and how to make it??
Thank you so much!

For the $34 its worth to get a quad out of it instead of paying $20 for just the module.
I would also be interested in seeing what you did with Arduino?

I have finally ordered my BOM from DigiKey, I priced it out from Newark.Ca as well.
I wasn't able to source the LEDs but I have a bunch sitting around the workbench.
The Blank Case i am able to get locally from a hobby store.
The RF Module I am ordering online at Ebay.

My X4 Husban has an integrated PCB and I can't use that one. ;-)

Yeah, it's the low power version though. No PA on there, so range is about 20m at best.

Did I read somewhere that the Stock 9x Module has a A7105 Board inside?
You can't tell cause of the RF Shield... just curious...

Yes the stock RF module uses the A7105, which is why the rc-ppm-2-spi project does both Hubsan and FlySky protocols plus a couple more that use the same chip.

Hi Kilrah,
Module1.jpg
Module2.jpg
Here is the modified Module that came with one of my TX's to support external antenna.
I assume this is a A7105 Transmitter.
That being said, with the PCB and parts, I can use this A7105 and be on my way.

Apologies for asking... but I just needed to be sure.

Thanks.

From looking and counting the PINs, this Tx is not the same as the ones you are/have been using in your diagrams or configured for the PCB.
I have 7 PINS where yours have 6 or 9.

Nah it won't work, the FlySky board already has an onboard processor that does what the arduino/processor on Cam's board does (take the PPM from the radio and implement the protocol) but hardcoded to FlySky.

Just an update, the boards have arrived.. Thanks Cam!
The Digi-Key Order has arrived.. Thanks Digi-Key
The Tx has not arrived, Still waiting from China/Ebay Seller.

I am going to build 2 of them... Why build one when you can build 2? So that 1 can help pay for #2. ;-)

I will start the build this weekend... hopefully the Tx will arrive shortly.

Custom Module for Husban X4 with A107 Wireless Tx.

Just finished the build.. now onto the Programming.. The A107 hasn't arrived yet.. but no reason to not be prepared for it right. ;-)

Can I say soldering 0603 is a nightmare.. I am used to 1206. ;-)

Question, before I begin, do I need the A107 on the module in order to program the Atmega328?

Edit:

The update is that the board was built successfully, I powered it with 5v USB FTDI Adapter and programed the Hex via my IVRisp MKII
All good.. now just waiting for the A107.

Yes you can :)
Now imagine soldering one of those on a very small space between a cap and a chip. Tweezers and resistor wouldn't fit. Remove the old component without removing the cap beside it was already a challenge :D
I'm also used to 1206, and bigger. ;)

Happy to say, we are in business. The flight was awesome, works really nice with the T9x.
I am still waiting for a case for my Module but I just mounted it directly to the T9x via the 6 Pin Header.
Module.jpg
I had to set the CH8 to:

CH08 +25%FULL

and that enabled the GREEN LED for my X4. The settings have locked in and always work now when I turn on my Radio and plug in my X4.
I had to INV CH1 and CH4 for proper orientation.
I have CH5 on ELE to 100% for my Lights On/Off
I have CH6 on AIL to enable/disable Flips.

I need to figure out how setup the D/R, haven't had to do that yet on T9x with ER9x as I just don't use them on MultiRotors that I fly.

All and All, amazing little project, very happy to have found it.

Whats Next?
Decoupling the FPV part of the Radio and making it work with my GCS and FPV Monitor. Its 5.8Ghz so its shouldn't be too difficult finding out what frequency it is using.

Do you happen to have a V959 to test it? Mine still does not work with v959 flip button. and I don't have a X4 to test if it is working at all.

Hi Kaos, no sorry I don't. I know the flip works via the enable/disable mode on my X4 but I don' have a button option for this mini Quad.
So does yours work at all? or just the Flip button doesn't work?

No. Mine does not work at all. :( I am using Kilrah's sheme not the pcb board by Cam. but using the same ino file. It worked for Kilrah's X4 also. I am just wondering if this works for v959.
