OpenTX on T9X - switching receiver channels from TX switches

Hello everyone, and pleased to meet you!

And here's my question (couldn't find this topic in the open threads...): may I use a physical switch on my TX (Turnigy 9x with OpenTX) to change the channel assignments on my RX? That is, I'v got to control a RC snowcat. I'd need to have a "Id0" mode in which I control the caterpillar tracks by throttle and rudder (by a skid steering style mix), and then a "Id1" mode in which the tracks are controlled by the pots and the sticks (elevator, rudder, throttle and aileron) are bound to the front blade movements. Of course I'd need to be able to swap from one to another instantly while my model is running, e.g by using the 3-way switch.
Is this possible in you opinion?

Thanks so much in advance!
Greetings from Italy!
Fabio

Of course, simply create multiple mixer lines on each channel with the desired source, and with the desired "mode switch" position as the Switch.
